Weloganite is a rare carbonate mineral. It varies in color, from translucent to amber. Some other color variations are lemon yellow, and most commonly a whitish color. It was first discovered in Montreal, Canada. It crystallizes in the triclinic system. It was named after the Canadian Geologist William Edmond Logan.
