The Serpentine group refers to rocks which form when a chemical reaction involving igneous rocks and near-boiling water react. Not all igneous rocks will react in this way. Serpentine Rocks contain Iron, Magnesium, Silica, and oxygen. Serpentine Group Rocks include Chrysotile, and its polytypes. Chrysotile polytypes are:
